Excellent, large, solid specimen of well-crystallized “cyrtolite” zircon from the Little Patsy Pegmatite, Foxton, South Platte District, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA. I personally collected this specimen around 2014 and sold it to George Kamin, and it was one of the better specimens from this find/locality, so it was a treat to get it back. Very good for this rare REE and Zr mineral at the locality. Measures ~80,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. From the noted collection of physicist and engineer Dr. George Kamin of Arcadia, California. Rare!!
