Solid specimen of waxy black Samarskite-(Y) from Boulder County, Colorado, USA. If this did not come from a very prominent Boulder County collection I would doubt the provenance! Very rare locality specimen. Measures ~30,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 with the 44-9 pancake probe. Rare!!
