Elbaite Tourmaline

Very large, impressive, 726 gram parallel-growth gem Elbaite Tourmaline crystal with a small quartz crystal attached at the base, from the well-known Minh Tien Mine, Lục Yên District, Yên Bái Province, Vietnam. The color is a nice red to yell0w-orange to brownish-red and the luster is fairly good for this material as well. In good condition all-around and showing the compound-style crystal growth that gem tourmalines from this noted locale are known for. Comes with a custom acrylic display base. Rare! Mark Cross photo.
