Superb large, dense, solid specimen of spherical uraninite surrounded by an aesthetic bright yellow-orange “shell” of secondary gummite-group Uranium minerals and minor ‘cyrtolite’ zircon from old finds in the Spruce Pine Pegmatite District of western North Carolina. Wonderful Spruce Pine Uranium specimen which was exhibited in several award-winning public displays by it’s previous owner, noted collector Brent Lockhart.
