Excellent large cabinet-size specimen of very colorful, rich Francevillite and Curienite on sandstone matrix from the famous Mounana Mine, Mounana, Léboumbi-Leyou Department, Haut-Ogooué Province, Gabon. The francevillite shows a very unusual botryoidal style morphology that I have never really seen before at this locality, and the curienite shows a similar form. A great large example of these highly sought-after and classic Gabon specimens, not found since the 1960’s. Meaasures ~120,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
