This is an outstanding large group of very sharp twinned tetrahexahedral native copper crystals with a unique cuprite patina and associated cerussite and possible marshite crystals from the major ~2008-2011 discoveries at the Rubtsovsk mine, Rubtsovskiy, Altai Krai, Russia. The morphology and perfection of the copper crystals on this specimen is unusual and exceptional for the Rubtsovsk mine, and the crystals are highlighted by lustrous microcrystalline red cuprite, creating a beautiful contrast. A truly fantastic crystallized copper for this important contemporary locality, which appears to be now largely exhausted. Can be displayed from numerous angles. Annette Slade photo.
