This is a marvelous twinned amber calcite “jewel” crystal from North Vernon, Indiana (recently featured in an excellent article in Rocks & Minerals Magazine), with exceptional color, luster, and morphology. It was collected by veteran Midwest limestone quarry field collector Dave Rush, who sent a note to Bill Severance stating that if Bill ever sold it, he would love the opportunity to get it back… with the many thousands of calcites Dave collected from these quarries, that tells you this one is special!
