Chalcocite specimens from the short-lived Flambeau copper mine in Ladysmith, Wisconsin are true American mineral classics and are becoming increasingly scarce on the modern mineral specimen marketplace. This is a fine  cabinet-size example consisting of a plate of well-formed, bright iridescent-blue bladed psuedohexagonal chalcocite crystals to nearly 1 cm. Minor peripheral damage but overall in quite good condition. A great large Flambeau mine specimen at a good price. Classic! Annette Slade photo.
