This is a classic and aesthetic group of bladed dark midnight-blue azurite crystals to ~3 cm. forming an aesthetic, complete “rosette” on minor matrix from the famous Bisbee mining district in southern Arizona. A wonderful old-time Bisbee azurite in fine condition with large, well-formed crystals. Has an old Schortmann’s minerals label and $3.00 price affixed to the back of the specimen (likely from the late 1940’s). Ex. James Ahl collection. Mark Cross photo. Classic!!
