Ex. George Kamin Collection
This huge, very euhedral Davidite crystal measures a full 4.5 inches across and is quite well-formed for this species. It weighs an impressive 817 grams. Most sides are complete, with the left side being a little contacted and the bottom only being broken off from matrix. It is an important, rare specimen from a find that I certainly had never even seen one piece from before, and of museum size and quality. This was locked away in a university study drawer since its discovery in the 1970s. I believe this is one of the larger crystals in existance for this uncommon rare earth element mineral… quite impressive!!
