This is an exceptional large, showy specimen of brilliant-orange francevillite with tan chervetite crystals and bright yellow curienite from the Mounana mine in Gabon, the type locality for all three of these rare and sought-after species. It is very hard to find a good large specimen of this classic secondary Uranium/Vanadium mineral assemblage on the market today, and this is a choice example. Previously in the collection of the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum. Mark Cross photo.
