Ex. George Kamin Collection
A very large, dense brownish-gray Manganese Nodule from the South Pacific Ocean, most likely one of the expeditions to the CCZ (Clariton-Clipper Zone) in the mid to late 20th century. These deep sea Manganese Nodules are very hard to get as they are only found as by-products so to speak of deep sea research expeditions, and this is certainly the largest one I have personally seen for sale. These nodules are a ‘hot topic’ at the moment due to their enrichment in Cobalt and other valuable ‘critical elements’, and the potential ‘deep sea mining rush’ they are spurring. Cool and unique item for the serious mineral collector!
We are proud to present the collection of Dr. George Kamin of Arcadia, California. Dr. Kamin, a respected physicist and biotechnical engineer with numerous patents and peer-reviewed papers to his name, build a large and superb collection of minerals from around the world, specializing in rare element minerals, rare species, and fluorescent minerals. We recently acquired the bulk of the Kamin collection and will be offering select minerals online in the coming months! Stay tuned for more!
