Good rich specimen of the very rare uranium phosphate mineral Moreauite from the Kobokobo Pegmatite, Mwenga Territory, South Kivu, DR Congo. The Kobokobo pegmatite (home to 53 species and 13 type locality minerals) is one of the major pegmatite localities worldwide for rare secondary uranium minerals and many of its rare species are found nowhere else in the world. Good specimen are VERY hard to get from this classic and long-closed (1960’s!) locality, and we are proud to be offering a great selection (the best we have seen) of rare uranium minerals from this mine as part of the Eric Quinter (1947-2024) Collection! Rare!
