This is a fine example of vibrant “baby pink” rhombohedral rhodochrosite crystals to 1.5 cm forming an aesthetic group from the well-known Emma mine in Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana. These Butte rhodochrosites are true American mineral classics and are not common in the market in fine examples these days. This showy large miniature/small cabinet-size plate has great color and form and is in fine condition. Ex. Ken Paulsen collection. Annette Slade photo.
