There is a lot of white stilbite from India out there, to be sure. But, even among “common” minerals, there are always the rare, special and unique specimens that stand out from the crowd. This perfect, large, lustrous and symmetric hemisphere of stilbite crystals is one of the best such specimens I have seen for the species, and has wonderful display aesthetics. It is from the noted collection of mineral connaissuer William “Bill” Severance of West Grove, Pennsylvania. A fantastic Indian stilbite specimen in fine condition. Annette Slade photo.
