Description
Species: Thorianite
Locality: Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, USA
Dimensions: 12 mm x 12 mm x 11 mm
Amazingly large and perfect (for the locality) single cubic crystal of high uranoan thorianite, collected by George Gehman in the 1930s from the “College Hill Reservoir”. This looks to be the twin small reservoirs at the north end of Porter Street, which is about 1000 meters SW from the Williams Quarry. Rare!! Eric Quinter specimen U/Th 0407, pictured on Mindat.org.
