For your consideration is this superb large group of elongated prismatic waxy-gray thortveitite crystals in feldspar matrix with black aeschynite-(Y) from the Iveland District, Agder Region Norway. Featuring numerous well-formed black thortveitite crystals in parallel-growth in matrix, this is an exceptional example of this very rare and sought-after Scandium mineral from a classic European pegmatite locality, from an old German collection. This specimen has a lot of thortveitite in it! Rare!!
