Fine solid specimen of Uraninite, Soddyite, and Uranophane from the world-famous Shinkolobwe Mine, Shinkolobwe, Kambove, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo. Interesting paragenesis with a secondary vein cutting massive uraninite which locally shows the outline of former cubic uraninite crystals replaced by secondary uranium species. Measures ~150,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!!
