Extremely rich specimen of waxy black pitchblende with minor sandstone matrix the Allen #2 uranium mine in Utah. This is material collected 70+ years ago and was part of the Jack Nieburger collection. Specimens of this material that are this rich are quite tough to find these days! Extremely HOT, measuring ~250,000+ CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
