A nice rich specimen of high-grade uranium ore, from an unusual and super classic Colorado locality, first exploited for radium ore in conjunction with Marie Curie’s research in the late 19th Century. Very nice example of this quite uncommon material. Measures ~90,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
