Solid specimen of waxy black pitchblende the famous Mi Vida uranium mine in Utah. This is material collected 70+ years ago and was part of the Jack Nieburger collection. Specimens of this material that are this rich are quite tough to find these days! Measures ~230,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
