This is a solid specimen of dense black uraninite from an unusual locality, the Midnite mine, located in northeasterrn Washington State. Good specmens are almost never seen from this locality, and this is an impressive solid, large pitchblende specimen for the locality. As expected, this is super HOT, measuring nearly 300,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!!
