Another great new find which I am happy to be offering specimens from are these wonderful new cuprite specimens from the Luifengshan mine in Anhui Province, China. These started sporadically appearing on the market about a year ago and the best specimens compete with cuprite from many other worldwide localities and feature highly lustrous, blood-red crystals to over 1 cm., rarely associated with well-crystallized native copper. This large “geode” of bright, sharp crystals to over 1 cm. was one the best I was able to get and has large, highly-lustrous, sharp crystals for the find, which has beautiful blood-red internal reflections in sunlight. About as good as Chinese cuprite specimens get!! Jeff Scovil photo.
