Ex. Dr. Fred Pough Collection; illustrated in Field Guide to Rocks & Minerals

A superb and historically-important specimen of large, well-formed green autunite/meta-autunite crystals on matrix from Sabugal, Portugal, which was in the important collection of Dr. Fred Pough (American Museum of Natural History Curator) and illustrated in a color photograph in the Audubon Field Guide to Rocks and Minerals; millions of copies of which have been printed (!). A rare opportunity to acquire not only a high-quality uranium mineral specimen (this is about as good as these get from this locality in my experience) with a fantastic “popular culture” pedigree! Mounted in a large-size plastic box for safe display/travel. Better in person!!
