Brazil’s Urucum pegmatite is known for it’s fine morganite beryl crystals, considered by many to be the best in the world for this popular gem mineral. This is a classic and showy example, featuring a gemmy, well-formed pink morganite crystal measuring ~4 cm. with minor albite matrix. A gemmy, pencil-thin blue indicolite tourmaline crystal pierces the center of the morganite, adding a great aesthetic element to this fine miniature. Looks great on it’s custom acrylic display base as well. Annette Slade photo.
