Species: Calcite, Dolomite
Locality: Fletcher mine, West Fork, Reynolds county, Missouri, USA
Dimensions: 10 x 6 x 2 cm.
This is a highly-aesthetic calcite on dolomite specimen from a recent (2021) pocket at the Fletcher lead mine in Missouri’s famous Viburnum Trend Mining District. It features an extremely aesthetic 6 cm doubly-terminated calcite crystal perched on a floater shard of white dolomite. The calcite is lustrous, complete and has a nice yellow color. Great aesthetics on this one! Mark Cross photo.
