Calcite crystals from southeastern Pennsylvania’s York County are true East Coast mineral classics, and are known for their quality, twinning, and rich golden color. This fine example features a sharp, lustrous, undamaged ~8.5 cm twinned calcite crystal on matrix and is from the Thomasville Crushed Stone Quarry. Thomasville calcites of this quality are not common on the market anymore, and this fine and aesthetic example is in pristine condition and is from the noted collections of Paul & Janet Clifford of Cleaveland, Ohio, and the collection of the A.E.
