Description
Species: Carrollite
Locality: Kamoya South II Mine, Kamoya, Kambove, Kambove Territory, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo
Size: 4.5 x 4 x 3.4 cm.
A very large single carrollite crystal from the premier locality in the world for this rare cobalt mineral, the Kamoya mine in the DR Congo. While not totally complete, I consider this a fantastic large single carrollite crystal for the price, and it displays great from the front, with textbook dodecahedral crystal form and bright metallic luster.
