Chalcocite specimens from the short-lived Flambeau copper mine in Ladysmith, Wisconsin are true American mineral classics and are becoming increasingly scarce on the modern mineral specimen marketplace. This is a fine small cabinet-size example consisting of a mound of well-formed, iridescent-blue bladed psuedohexagonal chalcocite crystals to nearly 2 cm . A great large Flambeau mine specimen from the noted collections of Tom Rosemeyer and Ray DeMark. Classic! Mark Cross photo.
