Description
Species: Fluorite, Baryte
Locality: Jaimina mine, Colunga District, Asturias, Spain
Dimensions: 12 x 6.7 x 3.5 cm.
Spain’s Asturias region is world-famous for it’s beautiful and varied fluorite specimens. This is a choice large example from the lesser known Jaimina mine, composed of very unusual tetrahexeahedral crystals, with great pale violet-blue color (better in person), no damage, and gemmy, large crystals. The fluorite crystals have fantastic complex form on this one, and the specimen is a complete ‘floater’ and displays great. A high-quality Spanish fluorite from the collection of Raul Sanabria.
