Portugal’s Panasqueira mines are known for their world-class crystals of colorful fluorapatite, often associated with ferberite, quartz, fluorite, siderite, and arsenopyrite. This is a beautiful large cabinet-size group of showy, lustrous gemmy green fluorapatite crystals to 2.6 cm on a matrix of crystallized muscovite and minor arsenopyrite. This is an excellent large example of gemmy, lustrous, 3-dimensional apatite crystals from Panasqueira, with great aesthetics and in perfect condition. Mark Cross photo. Classic!!
