The Urad mine, now part of the massive underground Henderson molybdenum mine, was noted for rare but superb fluorite and rhodochrosite specimens in the middle part of the 20th century. This is an exceptional example of lustrous, glassy, mint-green octahedral fluorite crystals to 1.5 cm on molybdenum ore matrix with minor pink rhodochrosite from the upper levels of the Urad mine. A beautiful classic and a real rarity for the Colorado mineral collector. Ex. Gerald Clark collection. Annette Slade photo.
