This is an excellent group of lustrous, “mirror-bright” cubic pyrite crystals forming an aesthetic, undamaged, “floater” cluster from the Climax mine, Alicante Gulch, Fremont Pass, Lake County, Colorado USA. Climax mine pyrites are noted for their luster, perfection, and form, and this is an exceptionally-clean and aesthetic example. A fine Climax mine pyrite from older finds, probably on the Storke level of the underground, in the 1970’s. Annette Slade photo. Classic!
