A beautiful and striking specimen, featuring a plate of thick, rosette-like azurite crystals that have been partially replaced by malachite. The partial malachite replacement is really aesthetic and almost looks like someone splashed “green paint” on an otherwise blue azurite crystal group. From the noted collection of Bill Severance, who acquired this from the Zweibel’s in the late 1960’s. Classic!! Mark Cross photo.
