A superb and very large specimen of sharp, emerald-green metatorbernite crystals from what is one of the great localities in the world for this colorful and collectible uranium mineral, the Margabal mine in central France. Margabal metatorbernite specimens of this size and quality are very uncommon, and this striking example is in great condition. There is even a psuedo-stalactitic “finger” of metatorbernite which extends up off the crystallized matrix… totaally unique! This fine specimen comes with a custom milled Sunnywood acrylic base, and was part of the noted collection of Brent Lockhart, who acquired it from the Arkenstone when these specimens first came out around fifteen years ago.
