For your consideration is this large, partial reddish-brown monazite-(Ce) crystal from the Cactus Jack pegmatite, Burnet County, Texas, USA. This is a great example of monazite-(Ce) from a one-time find about ten years ago on private property in the Texas Hill Country. The NYF pegmatites of the Texas uplift have produced some excellent examples of various REE minerals including monazite, but they are very rarely seen for sale today. Ex. Frank Roberts collection.
