For your consideration is this superb large, rich specimen of platy brownish-green crystals of the rare species bassetite on matrix from the type locality for the species, the Wheal Basset mine, Carnkie, Carn Brea, Cornwall, England UK. This is about the best specimen I have personally seen of this rare species, with abundant crystals covering all sides of a large piece of slightly friable granitic(?) matrix. Ex.
