New Mexico’s giant Chino copper mine is one of the world’s major localities for spinel-twinned native copper crystals. Fine examples of this material appear only intermittently on the market and are eagerly-sought by collectors and museums. This is a highly-aesthetic large single crystal with great morphology and a beautiful natural cuprite patina, unlike many of these that have been chemically cleaned.
