This excellent large plate of vibrant mint-green prehnite from the classic Prospect Park Quarry exhibits numerous “snake-head” casts of prehnite to ~4.5 cm after now-gone anhydrite/glauberite crystals. These prehnite epimorphs from the “Jersey Traprock quarries” have always been sought after, and this is a very fine large example which was in the collection of Dr. Ed David at one point, noted New Jersey mineral collector and former science advisor to President Nixon.
