China’s Shuikoushan Mine has produced superb gemmy honey-brown to red sphalerite specimens for over twenty five years. In recent years, however, few of these beautiful and distinctive sphalerites have been available. This is a KILLER and quite large plate of lustrous, super-gemmy orange-red crystals to 1.5 cm. associated with contrasting white bladed calcite crystals, from a small NEW find. The quality is really superlative for this locality, and the contrast with the calcite crystals is wonderful as well. In super condition as seen. A fine contemporary Chinese mineral classic!!
