This is a rare and very nice specimen for this famous Connecticut pegmatite locality, featuring a cluster of well-formed black uraninite crystals (better in person) to nearly 1 cm in pegmatite matrix. The uraninite crystals have sharp dodecahedral faces and are nicely-exposed in the pegmatite matrix. Measures ~110,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!!
