Dimensions: 7.8 x 2.4 x 2.2 cm.

The Jaipur area in northern India has produced some world-class diopside crystals, though good examples are very seldom seen on the contemporary mineral specimen marketplace. This is the best single crystal I have personally seen from this locality, with great green color, a gemmy to translucent interior, and no damage. Fairly good luster and great form also contribute to the quality of this fine and unusual gem crystal. Rare! Mark Cross photo.
