Wonderful group of lustrous, gemmy penetration twin fluorite crystals with undamaged “poker-chip” style flattened calcite rhombohedra from Weardale, County Durham, North Pennines Ore Field, England, UK. A Very old Weardale fluorite with a fantastic provenance: this was once part of the collection of famous 19th century collector Clarence Bement. Comes with a copy of the Bement label as well as a copy of the other labels from the American Museum of Natural History, who acquired the Bement collection at the turn of the 20th century.
