Crystallized silver specimens from Michigan’s fabled Keweenaw Peninsula have been prized by collectors and museums for over a century, and fine examples are becoming harder and harder to find with each passing year it seems. This is a very nice cabinet-size group of blocky, rounded Michigan silver crystals with a rich patina and wonderful overall form. The crystals range from fairly well-formed blocky dodecahedra in a vug to more rounded crystals on copper matrix. A fine large example of the sought-after “half-breed” specimens showing crystallized silver on copper matrix. Ex. A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum collection. Annette Slade photo. Classic!
