Namibia’s Berg Aukus mine is a classic locality for smithsonite, and perhaps best-known are the large, compound-style yellow to tan rhombohedral crystals which are quite distinctive of this classic mine. This superb thumbnail is in fine condition and consists of a sub-parallel group of large, sharp rhombohedral smithsonite crystals with good yellow color and translucency.
