The famous Tsumeb mine is known for it’s beautiful and varied combinations of secondary lead, zinc, copper and arsenic minerals, and this is a wonderful combination of two popular species, wulfenite and mimetite. Sharp, glassy, orange wulfenite crystals to ~1.2 cm. are perched on a matrix of contrasting lemon-yellow crystallized mimetite in this gorgeous miniature. Great aesthetics and lack of damage make this a wonderful little Tsumeb classic. Looks great on it’s engraved acrylic display base as well. Ex. Alex Neufeld collection. Annette Slade photo.
