Milky quartz from southwestern Colorado’s “Ohio mine” (actually a prospect largely dug by mineral collectors is considered by many to be the world’s finest source for this often overlooked quartz variety. Great milky quartz crystal specimens from the Ohio mine have vibrant luster, distinctive form, and occur as sculptural groups that make them true classics for the state of Colorado. This is a a superb large cabinet-size plate of lustrous, sharp, undamaged crystals to ~5 cm. with great aesthetics. It sits nicely on a sawn and bumped base for display and is in fine condition. These are not common on the market and this is a great example. Classic! Mark Cross photo.
